What is Safeguarding and Child Protection?

Safeguarding is all about taking action to ensure children’s well-being and protecting them from harm.

We will ensure that

  • The welfare of the child is paramount.
  • All children, whatever their age, culture, disability, gender, language, racial origin, religious belief have the right to be protected from harm.
  • All suspicions or allegations of abuse will be taken seriously and responded to.
  • All staff and volunteers have a responsibility to report concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Leads. 

Safeguarding means:

If you are concerned about a child, you must share your concerns today with a Designated Safeguarding Lead.
